Dear White friends: Stop Centering Yourselves
Because “I am Not Racist” isn’t enough when we’re talking about Mass Systemic Racism and White Supremacy.

Three Things:
- Discussion of Civil Rights, systemic racism, and white supremacy REQUIRES a mass critique of white people. Yes, mass critique. Seventy-three million voted for a white supremacist fascist my friend. We need to address a lot of white people, lot of whiteness, and a lot of white identity who feels threatened that Black people, and other non-white folk for merely coexisting with whites.
- Fallacy of Division: what is true for a whole is not true for parts. Example: You can drive a car down the street. You however cannot drive seats down a street just because seats are a part of a car; what’s true for the whole of the car is not true for the individual parts of the car. Talking about white people of America — the greatest political power in the United States boasting numbers looking like 235 million people — doesn’t mean I’m talking about you, personally.
- Fallacy of Composition: what is true for the parts isn’t true for the whole. Example: Just because atoms are invisible to the naked eye, it doesn’t mean that Fido the dog — made of atoms like everything else — is invisible. Just because you —are an individual polite part of a massive 235 million person whole — it doesn’t mean the 235 million share your polite disposition. You cannot defend the malicious socio-political disenfranchisement and neglect of non-whites by white society. You cannot defend systemic racism just because you’re “one of the good ones”. And you lose that good credit when you perform this silencing tactic, too.
Showing up saying you don’t drive seats down a seat, a spare, or a steering wheel, or a fucking glove apartment is not a valid argument to the fact that you can drive a car down the fucking street. Likewise, showing acting like Fido is invisible because the atoms he is made of are invisible is categorically asinine. White folk — when you do these things you look terrible.

There are 235,000,000+ white people in America. Out of those 235 million, 73 million voted for a fascist autocratic white supremacist political party. If the smoking majority of whites were PRO-civil rights, I wouldn’t be talking about cops Jim Crowing black people. If the smoking majority of whites can say black lives matter, I wouldn’t have to talk about white apathy, white indifference, White privilege, and white supremacy.
We saw laws drafted over tide pods. We saw laws drafted over Islamic Terrorism.
When whites feel threatened, laws change like magic. Black people are PERSISTENTLY threatened in this nation we call America. Laws must change, yet they do not.
We are unprotected as black people; we are naked. None of my Army medals mean shit. Black people have a nation and don’t have a nation at the same time. We are NEVER home. A cop can kill me right now in my house and walk clean. We as Black people live in a state of state-sanctioned terror.
White friend, stop fucking centering yourself. In the same manner, no one cares about a glove compartment when they mention a rolling car; your tiny ass doesn’t stand in for 235 MILLION people (or the 73 MILLION people who voted pro-white supremacy) who enjoy a monopoly of violence over blacks. Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Stop. Doing. That. Shit.
If you can’t figure out that civil rights REQUIRE speaking of white America, engaging to collective critical analysis concerning race relations, leave me and other Black critical thinkers and analysts alone. You are failing an open book test.
