My heart’s a BURDEN Dear God, I PRAY, a stronger shoulder I’d be let me feel it's not so weighty I must share it with thee.

Hi, dearest One! Here I am again to introduce a new poetic form, called gogyohka ((go-gee-yoh-kuh), which was invented in Japan by Enta Kusakabe. It literally means five-line poetry or song, and unlike its predecessors, the haiku and tanka, it has very simple rules — five lines and a phrase for each line. That’s all.

I hope you’ll try to create one soon. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for reading! Be well and safe ever.
