Happy New Year, kids. The muse came in this morning like her wings were on fire. I don’t know if she went out and celebrated the New Year last night, but she does seem heavily caffeinated today. I kinda like her like this.

So, here’s the thing. The muse and I are going to host a month-long contest here on Enticing the Muse. Between now and the 31st of this month, I will be keeping track of who creates the most pieces from our prompts. The winner will get to promote anything they have outside of Medium, in the Graves Publications News newsletter through the month of February.

What does that entail? Just about anything. It can be a book/ebook, a website, an Etsy shop, or whatever else you might have out there you want others to see. I’m still working on building an email list, but my newsletters go out to all my Twitter followers.

I’ll also do an entire post about your stuff on my other site, Graves Publications. I’m working very hard on that site. I have a lot of ideas and am already seeing a small, but steady, stream of people stopping by. Someday, I want it to be a great writer’s resource. However, it’s going to take a lot of work to get to that point. I’d like you to be part of it.

If this works out, it may become a regular thing. For now, it’s only for January. It’s going to take me a bit to figure out what works in the newsletter and what doesn’t.

I’m so excited to be going into another year. Hopefully, I’ll find a way to take my writing career to the next level, whatever the hell that means. I guess we’ll see, right? If nothing else, it’ll be a learning experience. I’m good with that.
