A Heart Alone

A part of my heart was lost

Gone to a place where I could not

The fear and the darkness had covered it

And I would not look

Behind a door I had placed it

A door locked and without key

I thought I could live without it

As though it never pulsed

Then you showed up and reminded me

Of a Heart that once had dreamed

Magically that door was opened

And my heart stepped out and screamed…
