A Happiness of being Happy
Something Prosaic

I’d like to thank Craig Weldon for inspiring me to write this short story.
When do I feel happy? What makes me feel grateful?
I have been wondering about these questions for a couple of days now, and my thoughts are still undecided, but I think I should share my ideas with my readers anyway.
It’s a smell of my morning coffee, the sound of birds in the woods, swimming in a lake on a hot day, a clean sheet and moderately soft pillows, weeding in the garden, typing words on my pages, connecting to my people, cooking and eating with my boyfriend, making love, telling or being told “I love you.”
Life is not that complicated. Being happy might be simpler than we think. I’m happy that I am alive and that I can have all kind of emotions; excitement, anger, sadness, being in love, jealous. Because that is the moment I can know I am a human being — “I am alive!”
Life is simple. I live in the woods. I hear, see, touch and feel, all kind of lives; butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, deers, hummingbirds, geese, leeches, tadpoles and more.
I believe that happiness is always relative and reasonable. The green trees look so vivid and energetic because I know about the cold and icy long winter. Swimming in a lake is so refreshing because your body is heated by the sun. You can be content because you know the pain of living and you came through the tunnel of sadness.
I am thankful for the fact that there are some people who can listen to me. And if my words can inspire somebody at some point, I will need no more gratitude than that.
This is my murmur about happiness and enjoying my life at this moment. I am happy having an opportunity to write this down and I will be even happier if I can hear your stories.
So, here I will tag the people as Craig did;
