A Great Stimulation For Our Minds

Taking Time To Do This Daily Leads To Better Mental Health

In my opinion, one of the best ways to de-stress and stimulate our minds is by taking daily evening walks.

This specific physical type of exercise can clear and refresh people’s minds of whatever stressful and negative thoughts and feelings they’ve accumulated throughout the day.

This is probably due to a combination of factors, such as:

  • the fresh air
  • the physical, continuous motion of the whole body
  • the increased, more vigorous blood flow to the brain
  • paying attention to the act of walking itself as well as the path in front of you
  • the external stimuli, particularly the sights, and sounds

Collectively, these factors naturally cause people’s minds to clear themselves of any pressing or stressful thoughts, or at least to shift such thoughts to the back of people’s minds, away from the center of their attention, thus allowing them to relax.

Refreshed, More Energetic Minds

As a result, people’s minds become generally more refreshed and energetic, compared to their previous state before they started their walk.
