Why I’m putting my money on it in 2022

Something good’s going to happen in 2022.

I’ve made it one of my resolutions — Trying to make a difference and create positive outcomes for as many people as possible.

It’s a simple plan and in its infancy, but I believe it could grow into something bigger and better.

As mentioned in my Christmas post, all money raised from my Medium account during 2022 will be split between three charities:

Children with Cancer UK — Helping children and young people with cancer

Young Gloucestershire — Supporting disadvantaged young people facing challenges in their lives

The Big Yellow Bus Project — Providing shelter and support for the homeless

The beauty of this is that it won’t cost us anything — Just a few claps. Medium’s going to foot this bill. That’s got to be worth it — Surely.

One of my good Medium friends, Maria Rattray, encouraged me to give the idea a nudge in a lovely message on Christmas Day. Maria’s one of this platform’s gems.

For reasons known only to me, perhaps one or two others, I’m filled with expectation and anticipating at least 1,008 claps from this post. That’s just one for each of my followers. Not too much to ask when the difference it would make could be life changing for so many disadvantaged people.

Let’s make a difference together and make some good things happen in 2022.
