Abstract

Ferraris, twenty diamond watches, and two jet planes? I starved, I worked in the fields, played barefoot, and I didn’t go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools and provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive some of what life has given me.”

Photo by Alexander Mils on Unsplash

Sadio Mané (born 10 April 1992) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a forward for <a href="h

A Feel-Good Story About A Wealthy Soccer Player

He spends money to help others

Some soccer players are very successful

Sometimes stories come up on your Facebook feed which are too good not to share. This came from OliViral. It has the photo of a dog and says: “Daily Dose of Kindness, Humanity, and Inspiring contents from all around the world.”

I had never heard of OliViral before and am not sure why I received the post. I had never heard of this soccer star either.

Sadio Mane is a Senegalese soccer star. He is said to earn over $10 million dollars every year for being a great soccer player. Some fans saw that he was carrying a cracked iPhone 11 and questioned the reason for it.

He gave an amazing response: “Why would I want ten Ferraris, twenty diamond watches, and two jet planes? I starved, I worked in the fields, played barefoot, and I didn’t go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools and provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive some of what life has given me.”

Sadio Mané (born 10 April 1992) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Senegal national team. He is considered to be one of the best players in the world and amongst the greatest African players of all time. [Wikipedia]

Here is an impressive thirty year old who is willing to give back and help other people rather than live an extravagant lifestyle with the riches he has earned through his hard work.

How much better the world would be if more people in that position of making millions would be willing to give back and help the less fortunate. It makes a person feel good to read about people like Sadio Mane. He is an inspiration.

Thank you for reading.
