Is Reality Real

A Fall Postcard

Greetings

author created the postcard in Canva.com using an image of the mums as the stamp

Mon ami,

Fall crept fast for us to savor the smell of apple cider, mums, and the perishing beauty of spring and summer. Dreadful September ripped my heart out of my ribs, now evident by October in the middle of our world. In this mum, like the mums, the best would be to stick together in moments of grief and joy. xoxo

The image used in the header was designed in Canva and was inspired by Connie Song’s — Postcard Poetry.

In reality, peace is trapped by cobwebs in some paradise that will be freed and unveiled soon, and we hope and pray that it will occur at Godspeed. We urgently need rivers of love to flow rapidly across the world.

There is never a single mum bloom; as far as I can recollect mums always appear in bunches with smiles that disregard the rotting of the leaves and life. Mums are bold and beautiful, and with their herbal scent, they create an alluring autumn aroma that leaves us craving for the fall season.

I sincerely hope the recent October happenings were an illusion, but they are not since I share the same flesh with those who have suffered.

Note: Historically, September is the month of catastrophes, and I was waiting for it to pass quietly. But something was off, and we saw all that in October.

Many thanks to Indubala Kachhawa for providing the Paper Poetry October prompt.

Carolyn Hastings, your dedication and support are much appreciated as the editor of Paper Poetry.
