A Dress of White

When it comes to nuptials, sorry, but it’s a ‘no’ from me…

I don’t need a dress of white, With satin, lace or pearls. For ever since my youth I have not been like other girls.

I’ve never sought a diamond ring, Never wanted to be wed. I yearned for more, and vowed to live the solo life instead.

And to this day, I’ve kept my pledge, With no regrets at all. I’m genuinely happy, and find single life a ball.

Although life might be simpler broached with four hands and not two, Marriage ain’t my bag. So, no, I will not marry you.
