A Drabble a Day 2: The Drabbling
A Drabble a Day words for 1/8–1/14
Oh, hello there, I wasn’t expecting to see you. Ah, I see you staring at my pile of body parts and tentacles. Strictly for research, I assure you. And also, fun…
Last week we started a game. I’d like to thank the people who have participated so far: Eva MacInnes JF Danskin Jay C Wells Erosia Potter Rena Aliston H.R. Parker AmyLee, Writer || Fiction, Personal Essays, Poetry
If you’re not reading their stuff, you’re really missing out.
Check out the stories from last week here. I’ll keep updating as they come through:
If I missed you, or your story, please let me know in the comments and I’ll add you in. Do not think I have anything like a system here.
For those who want to take part – here are the rules:
- Every day there is a word. I use a random word generator for that word.
- I then write a drabble that, in some way, features the word. (Because it’s a drabble, I keep it to 100 words exactly for the challenge).
- Those 100 words don’t include whatever introduction you might have, or promotional blurb. It only includes the story itself.
- Obviously, the only other rule is that you stick to the submission guidelines for the publication you are submitting to. I am submitting to The Fiction Writer’s Den, so I keep to their rules.
- When you do publish, make sure to tag me. I really want to read what you’ve done.
Without further ado- this week’s words:
1/8 Monday KILOGRAM
1/9 Tuesday SMIDGEN
1/10 Wednesday WHIPLASH
1/11 Thursday MOOCH
1/12 Friday DECIPHER
1/13 Saturday RHYME
1/14 Sunday PLOT
There were some awesome stories this week, I’d love to see some more!
