A Doppler Effect
Day 4: Past experiences leave an emotional imprint

Past, present and potential
Separate forces yet tangential
Sharing a common denominator:
You, the cultivator
So what will it be?
The past is over but it’s a part of thee
It can still affect the 3D
There’s always something left behind
A memory, a feeling, a lesson entwined
It can still feel real
As we replay the reels
Over and over
Never getting any closer
Still harping on ourselves with guilt and shame
Like that will help, won’t make us lame,
Maimed;
As if it won’t affect our aim
“Your aim is the name of the game!” I proclaim
All the same
Do yourself a favor: transcend the dark
Forgive yourself for missing the mark
(To sin literally means to miss the mark)
So aim again, but adjust your arrows arc
Until you hit the target dead-on
We learn by failure, conscious correction, repetition
Take your lesson and be done
Let the past wash away like winter snow in spring rain
At first heavy, bleak, cold feeling
But slowly melting away, revealing
Fresh growth beneath, great powers
Meadows filling with wildflowers
Growing taller by the hour
Let your soul reflect
The divine architect
Blooming upon introspect
Contented in retrospect
Most importantly, growing to recollect
The Love you deserve, a Doppler Effect
