A Daily Dish

My New Wonder Diet

I’m writing this entry today as a simple road sign. I’d like to circle back in 6 months (April-ish) and see what I’ve progressed on. I’ve spent the last 6 months contemplating and debating what I want to spend my days doing, and I feel I’ve got a better (but never perfect and definitely never finished) grasp on what I’d like to tackle.

I’d like to try treating my next 6 months of daily life as a menu, trying a little of each dish throughout the day (even when full). I figure if I work on the various subjects each day, that eventually the winners (in terms of progress/enjoyment) will filter through over time.

JP’s Plats du Jour:

Chinese

A heavy dish served with a side of frustration. Currently served light to medium, with an emphasis on reading and speaking. To be eaten daily for 30 minutes to an hour.

Drop Shipping

A new meal drawn from a mix of Canadian and Asian cultures. These dishes have been around for the last 5 years so many have been tried, but this chef wants to create his own version of it. Recommended to be enjoyed throughout the day for 4 to 8 hours.

Exercise

A staple of the modern diet and somewhat difficult to digest at first. For the seasoned tongue, it becomes quite enjoyable, served hot or cold, in rain or shine. The refined tongue can expect to taste hints of ‘Squash’ ‘Hai King’ and ‘Whey Tease.’ Recommended to be consumed at least 6 days a week, fast or slow, over the course of at least an hour.

Articles

A new dish based on a lifetime of quick ready made meals. This dish may not take a long time to make, but hopefully it is enjoyable to the restaurant patron. Usual spices are to include ‘Daily Life Lemons’ ‘Startup Salt’ and ‘Dropped Xi Ping’. Dishes aren’t made daily, so be sure to order them when they’re available at least once a week.

Drawing

A dish as enjoyable to make as it is to laugh at, this is a relatively new flavour for the chef. Purely experimental, this fine soup may not be for everyone’s palate, but rest assured the chef tried putting at least some effort into it. To save preparation time, the chef will now be including them alongside Dish 4 as a complimentary addition to the meal.
