A Culinary Delight!

When the 4-year-old came to make cheese scones with her grandfather, I needed my earplugs, but that’s another story. As to the scones themselves, I was alerted to be wary when I heard a panicked, “That’s enough cayenne pepper.”
I later noted that she was adorning the dough with dried fruit and fresh blueberries, but they were definitely cheese scones — grated cheese was everywhere.
A confession came from Granddad at the point I was invited to try the finished product. That cayenne pepper she’d been over-lavish with…?
“We got the wrong jar — it was chilli powder.”
However — I don’t say we’re onto a commercial winner, but the Fruit Cheese Scone with a Red Hot Kick was surprisingly palatable.
