Another 1001 Album Challenge week completed! If you don’t know what this is, here’s a good place to start.

Some Takeaways From This Week:
- Just like “School’s Out”, if you dig deeper in “Billion Dollar Babies” by Alice Cooper, you’ll find more horns and fun experimental weirdness. Not only that, you gotta enjoy the band’s sense of humor by including a dollar bill inside the record.
- I’ve grown to really enjoy The Stooges. Iggy and the Stooges’ “Raw Power” is exactly what it says it is. Raw power, in your face, just begging you to deal with it. Blistering and fun, it sounds pretty unhinged for the era.
- Bad Company’s s/t is great debut, featuring a band that really kills at the power ballad. The band’s energy shows they’re ready to take on the world.
- Van Morrison’s live album “It’s Too Late to Stop Now” may be long, but it’s really enjoyable with some great covers and some of his own tunes amped up with fantastic instrumentalists that jam and solo like their lives depend on it.
- Spark’s “Kimono My House” takes Roxy Music’s art rock to the next level with Broadway theatrics.
