It has been so hot here for me and my dear human slave
In suffering this week’s 40 degree plus — Celsius deathly heatwave
The birds have been falling from the sky and the trees
As we have been waiting days for a cool lifesaving sea breeze
Until finally she blew in like a cool fanning helicopter
A lifesaving wind indeed — known as the Fremantle doctor
So off we go for a walk — for the first time in days
Just me and my human along the salty shoreline bays
Where my human takes a quick dip in this magical wet potion
His elixir fixer of life — yes that’s our Indian Ocean
I play about on the sand — while my Seaspray D takes a swim
Its important that someone stays on shore — to keep a good eye on him
That’s me Lady Donga — my human’s heavenly anoint-er
To keep an eye out for sharks — yes that deadly white pointer
But today he is ok — as he emerges from the sea
And returns to towel down — and snuggle up close to me
As I don’t want him to die -I don’t want him to yell fark
And get swallowed whole or get chewed — by that white pointer shark
And soon now the sun is ready for sleep — as it sets in the west
As it slips far beyond the horizon — for a well-deserved rest
MeooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW for now dear readers
Until next time
