Conversation Between Two Believers
A short story in a poetic form
Once there were two men talking about life. They both were believers. One was a religious man, the other was spiritual. One believed in the power of God and the other believed the universe was his guide.
Both men started talking about things they were thankful for in life and how the path that they follow helps them move forward.
Believer 1: My life was a maze path On which I and faith trod Every day is a day of thanksgiving To the Almighty God
Believer 2: Every second of my life I am thankful to the universe I know I have been saved Things could be worse Every blessing that comes my way Has fought the curse
Believer 1: He sacrificed everything So that we could have plenty I gave up everything My faith kept me company
Believer 2: When I shed a tear It rains and cries with me The pain in my eyes It can not see
Believer 1: He carries on his shoulders The burden of our sins We are his children He loves us and makes sure The dream we fight for wins When one story ends The new chapter begins
Believer 2: The universe feels heavy When a soul carries sorrow and pain It spreads the rainbow so that The sky smiles again One can watch its magical show anytime for free I have no reasons to complain
Believer 1: I follow a practice The ritual keeps my mind focused
Believer 2: Just need to feel it The universe speaks through us
Believer 1: It lightens up my dark days When I imagine his calm face Peace finds its way to my heart Every time I say a grace
Believer 2: I feel the wind I feel the emotions of the night The moon reminds me to smile The sun feels calm even when it's bright
Believer 1: It seems like we both Seek the same things and Read the same chapter
Believer 2: Well said, brother It talks about prayer and devotion One is the creator and The other is the creation
When faith combines with trust Destiny brings the destination closer One should just keep walking Enjoy the journey and be prepared for The surprises around every corner
