A Conservative Author Criticized Three GOP Candidates

For their comments at their third debate

Republican candidates are vying for their party’s nomination.

Although Trump again declined to participate in the latest Republican debate of GOP candidates who are trying to win the nomination of their party for the 2024 Presidential election, the candidates faced off in Florida. It was their third debate.

Ann Coulter is a conservative author who has been an outspoken supporter of Republicans. She had harsh words for three of the candidates who want to occupy The White House. She called them a derogatory name.

A story by Charlie Nash in Mediaite was titled: “‘These People Are Lunatics’: Ann Coulter Goes Off On Republican Candidates During GOP Debate.”

“So far, 3 of the 5 Republicans want to start wars against China, Russia, Syria and Iran. These people are lunatics,” reacted Coulter on social media after three Republican candidates spent much of the debate calling for military action against Iran and its allies.

The three who were called lunatics by Coulter are former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

The other two candidates Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron DeSantis took less hawkish positions.

Calling people lunatics is pretty harsh.

Coulter has said that she has confidence that Trump will not be the Republican nominee. She said of him: “Trump can barely speak English. He’s a gigantic baby. The only reason he crushed in 2016 is because of immigration — the wall, deport illegal immigrants, the travel ban (which imposed limits on travel from several predominantly Muslim countries).” [Article in The Hill by Dominick Mastrangelo]

Although she was once a Trump booster, Coulter has become a vocal critic of the former President. She has declared that Trump is “done.” She says that he will lose if he gets the Republican nomination.

It is unknown if that many people listen to Coulter and believe her. She appears to be alienating some Republicans with her outspoken views.
