A Colorful Sketch?

What Color Represents – Dep’ prompt 43 of 52 (“The Color of my Life”)

Pastel sketch is by the author Hermione Wilds Writes

Inspired by the prompt set by Annelise Lords for ‘Dancing Elephants Press’.

My life seems to have started from that day when I retrieved my painting from my nursery school teacher. It was a colorful painting. Every color of the rainbow, pink, yellow, red, blue, green….

I have always been drawn to color. When I look at its color without my glasses it looks blue, at other times it is pink.

This demonstrates the blurry feeling of life itself. The way one person views the same story completely differently imagines what was said, or written and what happened or didn’t. It may not have been like that at all you know.

Color is never the same. We may imagine that it is, but what if it is subtly different for everyone viewing it? I know that I have often had, er, discussions about the color of something with a relative, our views opposing about color, and I discuss the color of flowers with my customers; palette being important to some and not to others so much. (I am a gardener.)

I remember one year there was a lot of fuss about the color of a dress. So much that it reached the papers. I looked the story up for you. What color is that dress? (The link takes you out of Medium.)

Thanks again to Annelise Lords for the prompt, since I got my hands full of pastels again because of it, and revisited an old story. The best kind of messy.
