A Classic Tale of Love and Loss

Musical Story Challenge

Aimée Gramblin, Michael Whalen, and Michael Burg, MD, I hope you don’t mind; I’m crashing your Musical Story Challenge and running rampant with it like a herd of Wild Horses.

My aching heart is inspired and looking for a distraction from missing my kids.

So for this, I thank you.

She was his Mississippi Queen (if you know what I mean.) Until one day, he said, “You’re a Black Magic Woman! You’ve got to change your Evil Ways!”

She said, “Hey Joe, My My Hey Hey, you know damn well I have a Heart Of Gold. I spent 18 and Life with you. How could you do this to me?!

That day she learned You Can’t Always Get What You Want.

Oh Sherrie was feeling The Weight of it all. Truth be told, she was feelin’ ‘bout half past dead.

She thought to herself, “Once Bitten Twice Shy but Don’t Stop Believin’!” Still, her head was in a Purple Haze, and her eyes filled with Tears Of Rage.

“I just want Somebody To Love,” she cried! “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For!”

After spending almost twenty years in Bad Love, there was a Communication Breakdown, and her life was a Landslide. Yep, you guessed it — she was Comfortably Numb in a snowy pile of Cocaine.

“I Wish You Were Here,” she pined. “I’m So Lonely. But he’s with his New Girl Now,” she explained.

Months passed, and finally, she built up the strength to tell him, “I Remember You so well, but now I know you’re on a Highway To Hell!”

Years later, she met a Joker that said, “You’re the cutest thing that I ever did see. I really love your peaches, wanna shake your tree. Do you Feel Like Makin’ Love with me?”

Dr. Feelgood thought to himself, I know She Talks To Angels. “I want to Heal Your Heart!” he proclaimed. Minutes later, he shouted, “Won’t you Pour Some Sugar On Me!?”

(God Only Knows her sweet Cherry Pie was delectable, and they had Nothing But A Good Time that night.)

The next morning, he confessed, “You Shook Me All Night Long!”

After A Total Eclipse Of The Heart, he whispered in her ear, “You Don’t Have To Cry anymore.” They settled down, made a ridiculous amount of Money, adopted a Black Dog, and spent the rest of their lives Free Fallin’ and Livin' On A Prayer.

The Love Lesson

Dream On After The Thrill Is Gone because Love Is A Long Road and It Takes A Lot To Laugh, but It Takes A Train To Cry.

Don’t have a Heart Of Stone because there is always a Stairway To Heaven somewhere out there.

Thank you for your love and support. ❤
