A Choice in the Roads of Life
A poem about letting go and accepting those dendritic roads to the many chances of tomorrow
I want to know you beyond just words and dreams I want to understand your being stripped bare of its walls and defense mechanisms. I want to love you, as a shadow does the sun as rain waits tenderly for clouds mycelium, the whispering dark sonnets, the pining heart.
For there’s beauty in every nanometer Earth in every form, vortical colors and sodium pillars. I want to hold you warm you with my tales and show you eternity in my tears. But you’re gone a ghost in my mind, do I hold on, and die too? Or do I let you become what you are a muse to help me heal.
I wish I knew the future I wish I knew how you felt So, I sit here in the dark holding seeds of tomorrow in my words knowing it is time to plant harvest hope in the coming demon moon
I know, rose budding smiles Because it was the last memory of you I know, bluish eyes of Eagle Nebula’s lies Because I was faced with a choice Life or death or suicide… And I choose the journey That place beyond, hydrogen vapors and carbon marrows.
I choose life, a thing beyond the heart, in the riddles without end, answers of endless frontiers Inside myself, sought only, to mend to guide, the roads that part.
