A Capsule of Time
A Poem
All I want is a capsule of time to memorialize the moments that I might forget Because sometimes I want to lose them only to find them later in the pocket of my jeans or a duffel bag To be reminded of you and your iridescent smile beaming light inside of me and taking the darkness away Let’s tuck ourselves inside this tiny orb and live this scene over and over again
Fold us up for future use when we least expect it A found object in a hurricane of mayhem Swirling around us as we stay protected inside this capsule of time Nothing but legroom to encapsulate our stretching bodies Face to face in closed quarters watching time pass as we stay protected from the dystopian landscape of today
Freeze this moment You and I tethered together forever in the confines of our love and safe from the dismay of tradition and hierarchy It’s just us in this perfect bubble Unwavering happiness in short order and on-demand It was all a voyage to get to this very moment of endless eternity inside a capsule of time
