A Busy Life is a Good Life.
Occasionally, we may feel drained from the everyday grind of this existence.

One finds themselves sleepy, unmotivated, and overall just tired of the whole song and dance that comes with living.
This is a major reason why people seem to romanticize the idea of retirement.
A busy, productive life takes a toll on people, especially if they are working in an occupation they do not enjoy, or they are pursuing something that does not speak to them.
Don’t get me wrong…
Retirement can be a beautiful stage of life, where people have all this free time to pursue endeavors they were unable to give attention to, since they were focused on work and productivity full-time.
That’s not to say people must not relax.
The ability to relax and slow down at times is crucial to living a healthy life.
However, being in a state of idleness is where numerous problems arise and lead to the downfall of many individuals.
With all these platforms that are available out there, it can be quite tempting to binge-watch Netflix, play video games for countless hours, and scroll mindlessly on your cellular device.
Heck, even I find myself falling prey to these habits from time to time.
One of the lessons of life I learned is that man must remain gainfully employed, for the sake of their sanity and well-being.
It is ultimately up to us to keep our minds occupied or else, we become brainless or lose our skills.
Simple as that.
The world is in a constant state of motion, and human beings are no different.

Unfortunately, being stagnant means you are moving backward due to the nature of the universe.
We are meant to evolve, and one will ask themselves, “Where did the time go?”
It will cause a great deal of hurt if you look back 5 years from now and you find yourself in the same place you were in.
Goals are needed in all aspects of life, whether these are daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or long-term ones down the road.
Being busy does not have to mean you overwhelm yourself with tasks and end up freaking yourself out.
It simply means that a person takes initiative and decides to put in the effort to build themselves up.
The alternative is that you let life pass you by and you end up becoming unfulfilled because you know deep down that you could be doing more to advance yourself.

An unfulfilled life sounds downright awful, and that’s not the life anyone envisions for themselves.
Better to be busy, working towards a mission and purpose rather than not using one’s free time wisely.
In a sense, it allows one to go to sleep with satisfaction knowing they accomplished what they set out to do that day.
What’s really in one’s control is the ability to keep moving forward and embracing everything life throws at us.
It will get immensely tiring at times, no doubt but…
What better alternative is there?
