On a cold night, like a blue poem, she came to me drenched in the melancholy of yester eve,

words trembled on her being, and spilled in dry hiccups,

love halted in me as her misery dissolved in the aged wine she quaffed,

questions clung to her parted lips as if mocking my tempestuous thoughts,

when her eyes calmed, they closed on a smile, but, like always, in the morning, she disappeared leaving behind- the blue poem ©M.D.B.
