A Birthday Party I Attended And The Love And Fun I Received.

Age is just a number I am sharing my enjoyable experience and learnings thereon.

Have you been invited to a birthday party by a young person?

Did you attend the birthday? I did and received a lot of love and enjoyed the party too.

Age is just a number I felt after attending the party! This was a once-in-a-lifetime party that I attended and I did not know how much fun the youngsters would be and the love that they would extend to me.

From my experience, I would like to inspire and motivate people to open themselves to enjoyment and forget about their age when they attend a party.

Invitation to the birthday party

The beautiful young lady Saniya in the picture above invited me to her birthday. She is a very loving friend and she calls me her soul mom. We have a strong mother-daughter bond. She treats me like her own age friend and one fine day she dropped a bomb!

Hello, You are attending my birthday! It is on the 19th of February.We had just got over the first long lockdown. She sent me an invitation card which said that she was celebrating her birthday at a pub name ‘imperfecto’.

I had no idea either about the pub or the other invitees. I never thought once as to who I would be meeting over there. I said ok I will attend as you have invited me, especially with so much love.

She took me shopping and bought a dress and some accessories. She must look the best for it was her birthday. She was excited and I became equally so with the involvement of buying some things for the birthday.

Welcome to the party

The entrance of the pub was imperfect. You could not decipher the entrance door of the pub. it was dark and I could not see myself.

Suddenly a lit area came and I saw Saniya standing in front of a red car. She greeted me lovingly, gave me a hug, and beckoned me to enter the pub.

I entered the pub. It was a little dark and then they had a lit area too. Everybody over there started greeting me as though I was a special invitee.

I noticed that they were all young, well-dressed, stylish women. Most of them were influencers and really well turned out and I was the only old person there.

The party begins

I entered the restaurant and the excited crowd greeted me. They just enveloped me and started taking pictures. Then we all cheered the birthday girl with love. We danced and sang and had a glorious time together.

They did not even wait for Saniya to introduce me. They spread their love and positivity and made me extremely happy and introduced themselves to me. We became like old friends chatting away. I felt super happy and young too.

Does it look to you that all these young girls between the ages of 30–35 half my age found any difference in our ages? They hugged me, danced with me and the function was a grand success.

It was a stress reliever and a fun time for all of us.

They gave me love and affection and made me feel like a heroine. I felt in my mind that I must have been older than their own mother but look at their love and warmth.

I was never left without company. If one joined another group another invitee would join me.

We all toasted to Saniya’s health and future success in life.

I returned home with a feeling of happiness and satisfaction by attending the birthday party which was so special and enjoyable. I made new friends. They continue to message me and also seek my posts on social media.

Takeaways

There are some wonderful takeaways from this experience:

#1. Life is a journey. Make it beautiful by enjoying different kinds of experiences.

#2. Never say no to friends when they invite you from their heart because they really mean to make you inclusive amongst their friends.

#3. Age is just a number. It is very rewarding when young people make you feel special and loved.

#4. Learn to open yourself to possibilities. When we do not open our doors we cannot be enriched with new and pleasant experiences in life.

#5. People are very caring. Age does not matter, young people, are as caring as old people. It just depends on the person’s nature. Not all of the invitees knew that I was attending this party. Some also met me for the first time and yet they opened themselves to giving me their love and warmth.

To conclude

Age is just a number, Life is for fun and enjoyment. You can either live your life fully or just be another person on earth. Go on and continue your life journey meeting people from different walks of life.

Do not limit yourself to age! We all have one destination in the end. Till then just be on the go. Inspire and be inspired in life.

The moral of the story- Love people, be positive, and reciprocate the love that you receive from others.

You will have a glorious enjoyable happy life. Birthdays and functions are get togethers where it is a reminder that we are together. They are stress busters too and give a feeling of happiness.

Life is to be lived.
