A Beautiful Trip To Ancol

By Author

Ancol Beach is located in north Jakarta and it is part of the seaside destination Ancol, which is a popular coastal area situated in the northern part of Jakarta along the Java Sea. It is known for its beach resorts, entertainment facilities, and recreational activities.

It was Sunday and we had to go to a place called (Ancol Beach). After coming to Indonesia, It was my first trip to explore Jakarta.

Currently, I am living in East Jakarta. Around seven o’clock in the morning, my friends Karim and Chiara left by 7:30 am at the bus station near Campus B, we departed from Trans Jakarta.

(Trans Jakarta is a public service bus in Jakarta with a very cheap price you can travel in Jakarta).

After traveling in two trans-Jakarta we reached close to the Ancol but were looking for Ancol beach through Google Maps.

Somehow after 25–30 minutes of wandering around, finally we found the entrance gate of Ancol, we bought 3 tickets (25000 IDR per person) and headed to the beach. It was 8:30 when we arrived.

A bit tired we sat there initially and after a while, we started walking around and enjoying the beach while walking.

I saw locals here enjoying this place, people were enjoying here with their families some were swimming and some were resting. We just went to see it.

If you see aerial photography of the beach, it is the shape of a Heart and we visited the all area of Ancol.

We got tired after walking continuously and sat down at a place a bit far from the crowd.

It was a very calm environment, me and my friends were sitting and planning that if next time we come, we will swim in the water a little.

Kuda Renggon:

By Author

Kuda Renggong is one of the traditional shows from Sumedong. The word “renggong’’ in this art is a metathesis of the word “ronggeng” which means Kamonesan. The horses have been trained to dance and follow musical rhythms, especially the drums (kendang), which are usually used as rides in a boy circumcision pride.

Half an hour later we walked to the edge of Ancol. Now we were very tired and hungry and also had to go back.

I thought of going back to our dormitory when Chiara said that there is also an Art Market called (Pasar Seni), in the Indonesian language (Pasar = Market and Seni = Art)where absolute things from Art are exhibited.

We thought we were already there, and we should visit this Art market before going back. After searching via Google Maps we found the (Pasar Seni) and we went there.

It’s an Art Market where visitors can find a diverse range of traditional and contemporary art pieces, including paintings, sculptures, textiles, and other crafts, and purchase various artworks and handicrafts created by local artists and artisans.

Many shops were open and some were closed. We didn’t see many people there and it felt like the local people rarely visit this place.

It was very nice to visit and explore Ancol Beach and Pasar Seni, and we enjoyed it.

But we were in this market for not so long and then we went to the dormitory and after walking around in Ancol for hours, we were very hungry and as soon as we reached the campus, we ate Mie Goreng at the canteen and then went to our rooms.
