A 5-minute Meditation to Connect with the Present Moment
When you feel stressed
Our heartbeat, like our breath, is always with us and is a good indicator of our emotions. Let’s use it to connect with the present moment and de-stress.
- Sit comfortably.
- Start with three deep breaths.
- Place your hand over your heart to feel your pulse.
- Close your eyes.
- Notice your heartbeat. Is it slow or quick?
- Reflect on your current emotional state.
- Is it connected to your heartbeat?
- Now stand up.
- Jump up and down on the spot ten times.
- Sit down again.
- Feel your heartbeat.
- Is there a change?
- Close your eyes.
- Focus on your heartbeat until it slows down again.
