A 10 Word Story About Mr. Tee

A TWC greyhound lurcher: equal parts goofball, racer, cuddler extraordinaire.

Perhaps that’s not so much of a “story” than a limited description of this crazy nut bar we call Mr. Tee. (TWC is the breed’s acronym: “Treeing Walker Coonhound”.)

After adopting him, we realized there was most certainly a greater measure of TWC in this silly boy than greyhound. He is much energy, much irresistible loose skin, and oh that soulful roo.

Tee can not help but obey his genes — all of which seem to be concentrated in his snoot on every sniff-obsessed outdoor adventure. He is a handful and a half on every single walk. He sings loudly and unabashedly for every siren, near and far.

He also looks deeply into your eyes while he slow dances with you. I kid you not. He gently approaches his favourite human in the world (my husband), slowly climbs up his body and takes hold of his shoulders. You’ve never seen a more serious dog in love with his papa.

He snuggles with us like no dog we’ve ever had, releasing a “burárum” deep groan of contentedness. (Did Treebeard get in here?) We call his feet “pillow paws” for as huge and strong as they are, you’ll feel the squishiest softest foot pads ever, often doubling as a pillow for his own floppy head.

We’re so lucky he found his way to us.
