Verified BOOK Authors: Celebrities in Our Midst!

Did you get your author verification status on Medium yet?

Lately, many writers on Medium are buzzing with news about the results of Medium’s author verification process.

It seems that we have quite a few awesome authors among us; in my opinion, it’s like having celebrities in our midst.

Lots of us self published authors have began applying for Medium to give us their seal of approval.

I’m one of the self publishers who got a rejection, which YOU KNOW I’ll be writing about soon.

From what I understand, some writers are still awaiting approval of their author status.

But others have already gotten their answer and received their “badges” of honor; announcing to all the world — or at least to the Medium community, that: HEY — I’M AN AUTHOR!

Am I happy for them?

Most definitely! How could I dare begrudge my fellow writers and their 15 minutes of fame (or however long it lasts).

In fact, allow me to give a big CONGRATS to some of my Medium tribe, like: Binky Ink Writing, Nicole Dake, David Biddle, and my girl Angie Mangino.

Check out how great their new accolades look.

I know these authors must feel pretty good, knowing that when visitors land on their profile or stories, they’ll get a glimpse of their BIG writing accomplishments.

Here’s one of Angie’s story pages, and as you can see, it’s different from the other authors.

Unlike the other three authors, Angie’s book is also displayed here, just below her Author badge. That’s so cool.Hmmm?

Hmmmmm? I wonder how her book got displayed on one of the story pages?

I’m not sure what she did differently, but apparently it worked. Notice the red arrow below, pointing to the book mention.

Good job Angie.

Here’s her “Profile page” where her book: 17th Century Tottenville History Comes Alive: Meet the People, Experience the Events is listed.

Final Thoughts

As writers and authors, whether verified or not, we must learn to be proud of our accomplishments and milestones, whether we’re fortunate enough to be recognized for them or not.

If you’re one of the anxious authors waiting to be verified on Medium, remember that the results might not possibly turn out the way you want.

REMEMBER:

You shouldn’t allow a “NO” decision by Medium, to cause you not to be happy for your fellow authors who do get verified.

You can still find ways to celebrate yourself, and show the community that you may not be Medium verified, but you’re still a bonafide author.

I also have also authored other digital products.
