What started as a protest against vaccine regulations has become a full-blown protest against the Canadian government.
What started in January as a protest against new vaccine requirements for truckers crossing the border into Canada from the U.S. has turned into a demonstration against Canadian vaccine mandate policies in general, with protestors occupying streets near Parliament in the nation’s capital, Ottawa — as well as other major cities across the country.

What does Elon Musk have to do with the Freedom Convoy protest?
We all know that Musk always has something to say on Twitter, and it is no different this time.
Elon Musk posted then deleted a satirical meme on Twitter that compared Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Adolf Hitler.
After getting a lot of negative feedback from his tweet, Musk deleted the tweet without explanation or apologizing for bringing Hitler into social media to mock Trudeau.
Musk’s original tweet received swift backlash on social media. “Using the image of Adolf Hitler & therefore exploiting the tragedy of all people who suffered, were humiliated, tortured & murdered by the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany created by him is sad & disturbing,” wrote the Auschwitz Museum’s official Twitter account. “It disrespects the memory of all victims & hurts many people.”
Hitler still evokes a lot of negative feelings from the families of the Holocaust victims.
Memes and jokes should never be the platform for discourse. But unfortunately, Musk remains silent on Twitter and has yet to apologize.
What is happening in Canada has many layers to the issue. There is the vaccine, the use of cryptocurrency, and human rights.
It also puts to light Justin Trudeau's past. He long admitted that those pictures of him in black face and Hitler costumes are all his, and while he had apologized about it in the past, it is now what is being thrown at him on Twitter.
