This site looks out for creative and adventurous travel articles, videos, and photos. So, you get paid to travel and share stories in a format convenient for you. The pay range is $50 to $75 for assigned pieces, $100 to $150 for interviews and personal essays. And $150 to $200 for articles about income and specific details.

2. Horizon Edition Magazine

5. Alaska Airlines Magazine

Because the publishers of Alaska Airlines Magazine want to know about your Alaskan trips. And will pay you $150 to $700 for your article. The website has a different theme each month, so be sure to read their home page and requirements.

6. DAME
When you travel, your views on issues change. You’ll be happy to know there’s a safe space for your controversial and unique viewpoints. DAME wants thoughtful pieces about civil rights, gender, health, politics, science, and law. Plus, cultural trends, sex, reproductive rights, media, disability, and class.
It’s more profitable to argue your researched views in DAME than at the dinner table. If successful, they pay $150 for an essay and $300 to $500 for a reported feature. The editors also accept first-person stories with an interview included.
7. Transitions Abroad
Who knew so many travel blogs existed? I didn’t until I wrote this list. Transitions Abroad is a travel publication. The editors want inspirational guides about international study, travel, life, and work.
While you try to figure out your life after moving to a new country, vent in Transitions Abroad. An approved submission earns you $150 per piece.
8. FreshBooks Blog
The exception — because you can’t travel every minute of your life.
Can you believe it? A publication that allows you to negotiate your price. Why? Because of your experience level or the high-quality of the piece. I’m shocked too!
The FreshBooks blog pays $200 for published content. But, if your negotiation is successful, you can earn more.
With FreshBooks, you need to be patient. They only publish 100% original content. Respond to submissions in 3–4 weeks and don’t want sponsored posts. The blog shares accounting tips between 800 to 1200 words.
It’s the perfect place to narrate tips you’ve learned while confined to a desk doing accounts work.
