Palestinians No Longer Throw Rocks
“Israel is asking for a 60 day ceasefire that isn’t likely to happen. Why? Because Israel has seen the writing on the wall; Israel is losing the war.”
Recently I penned Israel’s Slow Death, a commentary about how Israeli policies, societal changes, and worldwide public opinion is destroying the State of Israel. Today, on the anniversary of The Day of Liberation, when the soldiers of the 60th Army of the First Ukrainian Front forced opened the gates of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, I point out the impending military loss that is taking place on the ground in Israel. That’s right, while the United States of America refuses to support a democratic Ukraine, Jews who are given $3.8 Billion a year in American tax dollars owe their freedom and their lives and their freedom to Ukrainians.
Israel is asking for a 60 day ceasefire that isn’t likely to happen. Why? Because Israel has seen the writing on the wall; Israel is losing the war.
“The offer is relatively similar to ones that have reportedly been proffered since a seven-day truce ended nearly two months ago. Hamas has insisted that it will not agree to release any hostages unless the fighting in Gaza ceases for good — a nonstarter for Israel, as it would leave those who orchestrated the October 7 massacre in power, and with parts of the Hamas war machine intact.”
The IDF has admitted as much,
“After more than 100 days of war, Israel’s limited progress in dismantling Hamas has raised doubts within the military’s high command about the near-term feasibility of achieving the country’s principal wartime objectives: eradicating Hamas and also liberating the Israeli hostages still in Gaza,” the newspaper reported on Saturday.”
Hamas overpowered the Iron Dome on October 7th proving to all the world, and the rest of Israel’s enemies, that Israel’s air defence system isn’t everything the world thought it to be. All it took was more rockets than Iron Dome can handle at once. In theory it only takes 81 rockets to take out any single Iron Dome installation. Hamas fired thousands.
“As the assault proceeded, Hamas fired approximately 3,000 rockets into Israel within a 20-minute window, exceeding the capacity of the Iron Dome missile defense system — with 10 batteries distributed across Israel…”
It’s simple, if Israel were winning the war they would be demanding terms of surrender, instead they are asking for a 2 month ceasefire so that they can restock their weapons, food and fuel.
You see, Israeli farmers are unable to go out into the fields to work. The low wage ($1,300 a month) foreign labor the Israelis bring in to do farm work have been leaving Israel since October 7, 2023 to escape the war. The average Israeli wage is roughly $3,300
The Houthis have forced the near closure of the one port Israel has on the Red Sea (down 85%) with the 24/7 threat of missile attacks. Islamic Resistance in Iraq started targeting Israel’s 2 commercial ports on the Mediterranean Sea after the USA fired on them in Iraq. Leave it to military intelligence to draw more fighters into the mix. And Hezbollah is blowing up airport runways including the runways at Israel’s largest military airport meaning planes can’t take off and land. Jews fleeing the war are being attacked while landing in other countries.
As a matter of fact: everything the USA has done in the Middle East since 1948 has lead to more hatred of Israel and Jews worldwide. Think about it, as Americans remain in relative safety thousands of miles away the US Military becomes an extension of the IDF.
It was recently revealed that Hezbollah has bigger, better, and more tunnels than Hamas. And a lot more weapons. Hezbollah alone has enough munitions to destroy the Israeli Defence Forces and has proven they can target Israel’s most important military installations.
“Israeli media described Hezbollah’s release of footage targeting an Israeli radar site at Ras Al-Naqoura as “provocative and alarming.” The nature of the weapon used by the Islamic Resistance in the operation, whether it was a drone or a missile, remains uncertain, according to Israeli media.”
Like in Ukraine, helicopters are defenseless against cheap Chinese and homemade drones as they simply fly too low and too slow. And a $600 drone flown into the air intake of any jet plane takes out the engine and possibly the whole plane even if the drone has no means to explode. That said, a lithium battery inside a hot jet engine will almost certainly explode.
Israel is quickly becoming boxed in, unable to import adequate food, fuel, or weapons. Only two of their neighbors allow trucks to travel in and out of Israel, and trucks are the easiest of targets. Railroads? Israel has no railroads that cross borders into other countries — Israel bombed them to keep enemy troops out. Decades of punishing the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of Palestinian fighters has turned those children into professional, battle hardened fighters with nothing left to lose and the wealth of the Promised Land to gain. And need I remind you that Palestinian Muslims are also descendants of Abraham.
“Jews and Christians are specifically protected in the Quran as Peoples of the Book, reinforcing their spiritual connection to Islam by virtue of having been given revelations from God. The Islamic legal tradition has upheld the rights of Jews and Christians to maintain their beliefs and practices within their communities in Islamic lands, and this policy of tolerance has generally been upheld.”
While the rockets used by Hamas are primitive the missiles and drones used by the other groups are high tech and cheap. An attack by Israel costs them Millions of Dollars but the other side can do it for thousands.
For a decade politicians like Netanyahu have been lying to Israeli citizens and the rest of the world telling them they were safe while lining their own pockets, much of it American tax dollars. Meanwhile only 32% of Americans, including a lot of American Jews wish to support Israel. Israeli citizens were dragged into this war thinking they were safe, but Palestinians no longer throw rocks.
So what is the solution, you ask? Israel must declare peace, end the fighting, enforce equal rights to Palestinians, and ask that Palestinians take part in new Israeli efforts to support Ukraine. Like everything it will take time.
