7 World’s Most Secure Prisons
Most guarded prisons where it’s impossible to escape.

The prison structure has always been the most crucial issue in the world. With time prison structures have become more advanced and upgraded to keep the criminals in jail.
Although the presence of security staff is not enough, security measures are beyond the limits in some prisons. Here we will briefly analyse history’s seven most secure prisons.
Tadmur Prison

Torment, barbarism, and fearfulness are the most common adjectives associated with this prison.
It came into existence in the 1930s, with the efforts of the French. It is located in Syria in some desert around 200km northeastern Damascus.
Many political nonconformists have been the victim of this lock-up. Usually, in prison, criminals do have some primary privilege, but in Tadmur, there is no relief. It is far more dangerous.
Many former prisoners have shared their views about this prison that prisoners are being watched continuously.
No one is allowed to move his head, and they are not even allowed to look upward or in the eyes of mates; otherwise, the results are too deadly. They face torture daily, which is ultimately the slow pace to death.
Prison officers have a right to do whatever they want to. They can kill prisoners anytime.
For them, their lives have no value. They are humiliated in the worst manners; for instance, one prisoner told that one night he was ordered to move 100 pairs of slippers to the dorm, also by mouth only.
They can never call for medical help because they will not entertain, and there is no issue if they die because of medical negligence. Tadmur is still under action by Syrian military officers.
Some human rights groups are now opposing this madness, and we can only hope that such inhuman jails and their cruel systems will never be formed. The hidden tales of its victim who died and even those who survived will be remembered always.
Black Dolphin

Russia’s hardest lock-up for most notorious criminals is known as Black Dolphin.
It is famous for keeping the most threatening criminals in the country. It is located near Orenburg, named Black dolphin, because of the black dolphin sculpture placed at the front of the prison.
The total number of criminals in this prison is around 700, with the total number of killing records of 35000, which would be approximately five murders per criminal.
The criminals are being judged twenty-four hours under strict administration. The prisoners are not allowed to move according to their wishes, there is no mercy, and every prisoner is equal.
The criminals can be beaten up to death to prove their crime. Therefore this place is frightening enough because of its strict policy and rules.
Alcatraz

This prison was built during mid of the nineteenth century.Alcatraz is located on a island in San Francisco Bay, U.S. . Alcatraz is also known as The Rock .
In 1934 during the peak of the crime rate, it was considered the most secure prison in the world. During 1950, the number of convicts was more than 200 with a revolutionary security system.
Life in Alcatraz was hard, and prisoners had to endure many restrictions and harsh rules. Many serial killers were the inmates here.
According to records, there were fourteen attempts of escape in this prison involving thirty-six convicts.
In 1962 one morning, the three prisoners were found to be missing. They escaped by deceiving with a fake dummy on their beds; however, where they went is still a mystery.
The prisoners drowned in the anchorage or escaped successfully; the real story is still unknown.
Though the prison closed its operations in 1963, it was reopened as a tourist point and public museum after ten years. Hence Alcatraz is not a prison anymore.
Devil’s Island

It is situated in French Guiana on an island in South America. Most cruel criminals were the inmates here.
It began its operations in 1852. Devil’s Island is famous for the ill-treatment and harsh behaviour of guards.
Prisoners died here because of malnutrition.
For hundred years, it was running as a prison, but in 1953 they closed the function of the prison, and it is now known as a historical place and caters to several visitors.
Urga Prison

The rules of this prison are beyond imagination. For instance, there are norms of punishment according to crime, but in Urga, a Mongolian prison, the prisoners are treated in the worst manner.
They keep the prisons in coffins where they can not sit or lie appropriately. Prison survival is like dying every day with little food and extreme torture.
Whether or not they have committed the crime, they must undergo cruel treatment and interrogations.
Most of the prisoners die before their crime is proven. It is heard that such actions were prohibited in 1920, but still, they are heartless towards convicts.
Hoa Lo Prison

It is situated in Vietnam and was constructed by the French in the mid-nineteenth century.
Hoa Lo is also known as Hanoi Hilton. All the things associated with horror and torture are part of this lock-up.
From giving rotten food to electric shocks was a daily practice of Hoa Lo. The space for prisoners was around six hundred. The prison is now converted into a museum.
The Bastille

It is located on the east side of Paris and was considered a prison for essential persons and built during the thirteenth century.
On July 14th, 1789, it was stormed by the crowd to recover the gunpowder which was stored in the Bastille. As a result of this attack, the prisoners were released, and this event became a symbol of revolution in history.
Hence, it is perceived that there should be some basic rules and standards in every prison, which should not be inhumane.
Prisoners should have their fundamental rights. We can hope that by doing such implementations, we can bring positive change to society.
