7 Types of Crystals That Can Help Heal Your Energy

They are easy to remember if you remember the colors.

In a later article, I will explain how and why crystals work for energy healing, such as Reiki. Previously, I gave an example of how a children’s show described the seven chakras, or energy centers, of the body.

A lot of what makes a crystal effective comes from its color and how it matches the particular chakra’s color. Each malady or element of life corresponds to a specific chakra (energy center). Using a corresponding stone aids in stimulating each of the chakras, releasing and empowering oneself for desired outcomes.

Matching the color better enables the outcome.

A quick note: Healing crystals and Reiki are not substitutes for proper medical treatment. However, there is growing scientific evidence of increased efficacy of treatments when paired with modalities such as Reiki and healing crystals.

Red & Black for the Root Chakra (Fear & Manifesting)

The root chakra is the place of grounding, protection, and manifesting. If you suffer from fear, inhibition, or blood disorders, using red and black stones offers the best reinforcements to clearing these conditions.

Stones in this category include garnet, ruby, red jasper, jet, obsidian, and hematite.

Orange for the Sacral Chakra (Sexuality & Creativity)

Near your genitals and lower abdomen, this location is the place of creativity, sexuality, and physical desire. Using crystals with the color orange helps increase energy, sex drive, and creativity and ease kidney troubles.

Stones in this category include tiger’s eye, carnelian, yellow jasper, and citrine.

Yellow for the Solar Plexus (Empowerment & Stomach)

Those people with radiating solar plexuses are confident, empowered, and have strong willpower. Physical signs of a blocked solar plexus include digestion issues, muscle cramps, and allergies. Using yellow colored crystals helps immensely.

Stones in this category include light citrine, turquoise, agate, and light amber.

Green & Pink for the Heart Chakra (Love & Stress)

In my work as a Reiki energy healer, I find most people struggling with the first three chakras, mostly being overcome by fear, shame, and guilt. Having these areas blocked undoubtedly leads to a backup of the heart chakra. Stress, anger, and depression are clear signs of an imbalance here. Heart and chest conditions are the physical manifestations of love and stress imbalances.

The colors of green and pink are most effective in the heart chakra. Lie down, holding the crystal over your heart, and feel your heartbeat mirroring the stone’s influence.

Stones in this category include jade, aventurine, rose quartz, malachite, watermelon tourmaline.

Blue for the Throat Chakra (Honesty & Glands)

When we are not honest and clear in our communication, the throat chakra is misaligned. Many physical ailments may show due to us being deceitful or withholding the truth. Symptoms include ear, nose, and throat issues, glandular or thyroid issues, teeth, and gum conditions. Blue stones are best here.

Stones in this category include sodalite, azurite, and lapis lazuli.

Violet for the Third Eye (Psychic Abilities & General Pain)

People with clear chakras of the third eye may experience psychic abilities and clairvoyance. Those with blockages here may experience vision issues, bodily pain or headaches, or general agitation.

Using a polished purple-colored stone, rubbing it in small clockwise spirals on the center of your forehead is an excellent method for opening the third eye.

Stones in this category include amethyst, fluorite, kunzite, sugilite, and labradorite.

Clear & White for the Crown Chakra (Spirituality & Depression)

Living in duality means having a separation from Source, or God, or the Universal Consciousness. This state is one of depression and mental anguish. Awakening, inspiration, and spirituality — oneness — comes from the crown chakra.

Of all the chakras, this is the one most apart from the physical body. Therefore, it does not need much direct stimulus. Placing these stones nearby or under your pillow work sufficiently. Stones that are clear or white work best.

Stones in this category include rock quartz, zircon, and diamond.

In Summary

Many people opt to buy jewelry or complete sets of chakra crystals. Or you can obtain stones over time to treat specific energy center issues.

Again, I am not advocating the replacement of traditional medical or psychiatric treatment. However, I suggest that there is growing empirical evidence of the efficacy of energy healing modalities, such as Reiki and healing crystals.

Trying it won’t hurt. And, who knows, you may see a remarkable improvement.
