7 Tips to Help You if You’re Stuck in an Unproductive Writing Rut
These methods should help you start writing again

If you’re stuck in an unproductive writing rut, these seven tips should help you start writing again.
1. Keep a notebook handy to write down ideas
Whether you’re watching the telly or reading a book it’s good to keep a notebook close by so you can jot down ideas.
2. Get active
Take a walk or do something else that gets your body moving — and your mind working.
3. Visualise
Visualize your ideal creative process and the story you want to tell (or website content, article, etc.).
4. Meditate
Meditate for 15 minutes; focus on positive thoughts and outcomes, not the things stressing you out or holding you back from getting started with your work-in-progress.
5. Talk with other writers
Talk about what’s holding you back with writers who understand the struggle of writer’s block, then try to put it out of your mind once and for all (easier said than done but worth the effort).
6. Review your goals
Review what matters: Your goals and purpose as a writer; if those are clear, only good things can happen!
7. Think about what your audience wants
Think about who it is that you want to help through your writing; let them give you strength when the going gets tough so that they can be one step closer to achieving their goals thanks to what you’ve written for them!
