7 Tips to Build a Morning Routine You Love.
Finding the perfect balance that makes you feel powerful and rejuvenated!

1. Think about what makes you the happiest.
This one will be different for everyone and takes trial and error for sure. The goal of your morning routine is to set yourself up for success for the day so you can be your best self. So what can you do that would make you feel happiest right away in the morning? I’ve found that a balance between morning movement, a filling breakfast, journaling, and making my list for the day while I sip on my coffee is a huge part of my success in a day.
2. Create your goals and a timeline for them.
What do you want to accomplish this year and how can you break those down into smaller pieces throughout the year? You want smaller goals that are achievable so you can achieve your BIG goals by the end of the year. An example would be:
I want to achieve 50% of my income being passive income by the end of the year so I can live slower. But how am I doing this? I’m testing out a variety of different options to find what option works best for me and what ones I LOVE to work on the most. I’ll write an article on this soon. :)
3. Maintain and fixed bedtime and wake up time.
A big part of starting your routines is by going to bed and waking up at the same times every single day. Eventually you’ll love your routines and it’ll be a huge part of your life. Try experimenting with the times that you think would work best for you and allow for you to build your goals the way you dream of doing!
4. Plan how much time you’ll need in the morning.
In order to not feel rushed in the morning, how much time do you think you’ll need for your morning routine? I plan for an hour with 30 minutes of buffer time in case I’m a bit slower one day. Then you don’t rush your morning routine and don’t start your day stressed out.
5. Avoid your phone.
I don’t look at my phone until almost 10:00AM every single day. That time right away in the morning is precious and is for you. The second you pick up your phone you’re starting to “empty your bucket” before it’s even filled.
6. Drink some water before you enjoy a coffee.
Hydrate before you dehydrate I say. I drink one glass of water before I can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. If I didn’t do this I’d only drink coffee all day. So by filling up my water bottle while I drink a cup of water I’m setting myself up for proper hydrating that day!
7. Get some movement in and eat a good breakfast.
Movement can be whatever you want it to be, it doesn’t have to be a crazy gym routine! Even if it’s a morning walk, session of yoga, or going to the gym and lifting weights. Find what’s best for you and makes your body feel the best.
Before my morning routines started I wasn’t a huge breakfast person. I just don’t like to eat a lot in the morning. So I typically either have oatmeal or a big protein, nutrient packed smoothie.
