7 Signs You’re On The Wrong Path
Ever wonder why everything feels so hard?
Let me start this by saying, everyone has a purpose and everyone has a path they take to reach that purpose. Sometimes life throws things our way that deters us from the path we’re supposed to be on. When we get off track we can find ourselves feeling lost or drained because we don’t know what exactly we’re living for. Here are some signs that you’re on the wrong path.
You’re Stressed For Unknown Reasons
When we’re on the wrong path, subconsciously we know we are but consciously everything may seem fine. You might find yourself feeling very stressed out or even irritated at small things for no reason. You may find yourself snapping at everyone around you and feeling overwhelmed even though there’s not much on your plate.
You know something is wrong but you can’t pinpoint exactly what it is and that feeling of being lost translates into stress and irritation.
You Crave A Fresh Start
Sometimes signs really are this obvious. You crave a new beginning and you feel it deep within your soul. If you’re studying something that doesn’t really align with your path, you can sometimes feel your soul dragging you in the opposite direction.
When you’re on the right path you don’t crave change because everything you need is already aligned with you and you know that if changes happen, it’s because it’s meant to be that way. When you’re on the wrong path you might get so fed up and drained that you literally want to press the reset button on your life.
You’ve Lost Passion
When you love doing something it's because you’re passionate about it. If you one day realize you’re no longer passionate about this thing then it can be a sign that it does not align with your true path.
For example, let’s say you wanted to be a doctor when you were little and now that you’re all grown up, the idea of the medical field just does not interest you anymore. You don’t feel the same passion and motivation you did before.
If you’re still in school studying something and you feel like you’re in the wrong major, you might feel exhausted by all the work. Don’t get me wrong, school is stressful even if you are on the right path! But when you’re on the wrong path you’ll feel like you’re just doing the work for a grade instead of actually being in love with what you learn.
You Feel Like The World Is Working Against You
Have you ever had a bad day and when one thing goes wrong it feels like everything else starts to go wrong? Being on the wrong path feels just like this. When you’re on the wrong path the universe purposely makes things not go in your favor so that you’ll be forced back onto your true path. It might start with something small and then eventually a tower moment will happen where everything comes crashing down and you’ll have no choice but to pick a new path. It’s harsh, but it’s for your highest good.
When you’re on the right path yes, things can still go wrong but it’s usually never extreme enough to push you into taking a different path.
You Question The Purpose of Life
When you’re on the wrong path you’re unsatisfied with the way your life is currently and it can be so disheartening that makes you question the point of it all. Let’s say you’re in a career you don’t even like and you wake up every morning dreading to go to work. Some questions that may run through your head are “Why am I even doing this? What is the point of working so much anyways?” Once you start questioning you’re path, it’s a good sign that you’re on the wrong one.
If you were on the right path you’ll be determined to do what you have to do and feel passionate about it. You wouldn’t have to question the purpose behind it because you don’t care about the purpose. When you truly love doing something you don’t care about the reason behind it, you just continue to do it.
Your Dreams Don’t Align With Reality
Dreams can tell a lot about your life and give signs as to where to go next. If your dreams or daydreams show you something completely different from what you had originally envisioned for yourself then you might be on the wrong path.
Dreams are controlled by your subconscious mind, also known as your higher self. Your higher self knows everything you need to know in the lifetime including the path you’re supposed to be on. If you have a dream and can remember it after you wake up, write it down and try to decipher what it means.
Sometimes the dream might be so straightforward you don’t even need to decode it! Think of it as your subconscious mind subtly reaching out to you to help put you back on the right track.
You Feel Anxious
Anxiety usually stems from you worrying about what the future holds for you. If you feel anxious about the future, then that means you’re not doing something in the present that makes you feel secure. If you’re stressed about what the next bridge you have to cross in life is then that means you’re holding on too tight to an idea that isn’t meant to be your reality.
When you’re on the right path, you intuitively know it which means you’re not scared of your opportunities being taken away from you. You know what no matter what happens it’ll be okay because you’re aligned with your purpose. When you’re not aligned with your purpose you’ll feel scared that something might come along and ruin everything you’re trying to build for yourself. You know that what is for you will never miss you.
It’s completely normal to get off track in life. In fact, it’s not a bad thing when it happens because it teaches us very valuable lessons and brings us closer to our higher self. If you realized you’ve gone off path, try connecting with yourself more so that you can fully understand what your soul wants and naturally, you’ll gravitate in that direction.
