7 Reasons you’re unsuccessful. Not because you’re lazy or dumb. Much simpler:

The real culprit of unsuccess:

Throughout the majority of my existence, those in my circle — friends, family, colleagues, teachers, and more — have often labeled me as lazy.

Am I truly lazy? Perhaps.

Yet, consider this: What if everyone is wrong? What if everyone is quick to judge and conclude?

When I looked up the definition of lazy, this is what was thrown at me:

In my life journey, I’ve consistently accomplished the goals I’ve set for myself.

Maybe not to the degree or the standards I set myself but that’s life.

  • I’ve learned a new high income skill from scratch.
  • I’ve published an article consecutively for 60+ days
  • I’ve been going to the gym consistently for the last 2 years.
  • I’ve been reading and meditating consistently for 60+ days.
  • I’ve woken up everyday at 7am for productivity.

You get the point.

Here’s the thing: Don’t count days. Make the days count.

A lazy person doesn’t do this.

Thankfully, I never agreed to the label “You’re Lazy” and it has served me well.

If you too are labelled lazy, here are 7 reasons that might be ailing you in your journey:

You Think Small

Being present is beneficial.

But most time, most people end up focusing too much on “what is” rather than “what can be.”

Instead of thinking how big you can be, you are entangled in how small you are.

Thus, limiting your opportunities.

You Lack Systems

Due to a lack of clarity, you find yourself shouldering a heavier load than usual.

Without a structured approach, you get discouraged quickly.

Since this is uncharted territory for you, your initial fervor often exceeds your ability to maintain consistency.

This path leads straight to burnout.

You never continue what you begin for a long time.

You Lack Clarity

I’ve been working on an e-book for almost 4 months.

I’ve made satisfactory progress, yet my thoughts fluctuate between clarity and uncertainty.

This makes it hard to move and to progress.

This stops me from making the kind of progress I enjoy.

This indicates a lack of a clear vision.

Lack of clarity poses as one of the major hurdles for many. Don’t allow it to obstruct your path.

You’re in a Hurry

The value of patience as a virtue has diminished in the face of immediate gratification in numerous facets of our lives.

With immediate gratification, our perceptions of both ourselves and the world become distorted.

Attempting to accomplish numerous tasks hastily, you end up not doing anything. Perfectionism is simply a lack of discipline.

This creates a loop of sorts and you keep going back and forth doing the same thing.

You’re Indecisive

Similar to myself, you tend to linger over your decisions.

Even after you’ve decided, you let it sit and marinate.

This hesitance to act breeds a unique form of inertia, hindering your progress on the choices you’ve made.

Doubt creeps in, causing you to halt midway in your pursuits.

You are in Comparison Mode

You are constantly in comparison mode.

Reflect on this: When was the last instance you refrained from comparing yourself to another?

Typically, these comparisons aren’t fair or equal.

Furthermore, each person’s journey is distinct.

What might work well for you, might not work well for me and vice versa.

So, what purpose does comparison truly serve?

You Do What Everyone Else Does

If you observe closely, you’ll realize that most of the world around you is average.

You love to imitate them and compete with them.

By doing this, you set a low baseline for your ambition.

Moreover, if you follow the same path as everyone else, how can you anticipate different outcomes?

There are myriad reasons for your lack of success, but laziness isn’t one of them.

Ultimately, it boils down to your self-perception.

What is your perception of yourself?

If you find value in this post, please consider sharing it with others who are on a journey of growth like ours. I encourage you to allocate the time needed to absorb the wisdom it contains, in the hope that it will similarly transform your life.
