7 Magic Ingredients of a Profitable Course
And when to use them all…
Here are the 7 magic ingredients that go into each module to create a profitable course:
Video: The aim of video training for each module is no longer than 30 minutes. I am for 20–30. The days of loooong videos are over. Customers want it quickly and effectively.
Article: If you create courses and other content from your article as we recommend, you already have this ready to go. Take the part of the article that works for this module, expand on it just a bit, and you have another asset in each module. Remember, people still like to read ;-)
Checklist: Creating a checklist to guide your members helps them to feel like they have a map to follow to get the outcomes of the course.
Template: How can you take something from your course and make it “fill-in-the-blanks” simple? Once again, your customer gets “Hey, I can do this!” Q&A:
Mini-Workbook: Provide a way for your members to “fill in the blanks” from your training and create their plan to implement. This helps solidify learning.
Quiz: Make this fun with some obvious and silly questions mingled in with the “real” questions.
Q&A: This can be live at the end of each module, recorded, or posted below each module.
When to use these
1-3 Module Mini-Course: Use 2–3 of the above assets. I recommend one video and one other.
3–5 Module Course: Use 3–5 of the above assets.
5–7 Module Flagship Course: A Flagship Course is your main course, something for which you want to become known. Go all out here are use 5–7 of the assets above.
