Lesson 1: Cinderella cried before she conquered.

Every Cinderella suffers her share of dark times before she finally finds the shoe that fits. That goes for everything in life.

Don’t fret over finding and fitting into glass shoes, instead focus on shattering glass ceilings.

Lesson 2: When life pulls you into an abyss, face it.

When life pulls you into an abyss. Take a deep breath and use the pain as jet fuel, to propel yourself in a positive direction.

Remember, an airplane takes flight against the wind, not with it. Your life will soar by facing adversities head-on; not by running away from them.

Lesson 3: People will hurt, push, and bully you. Stand up for yourself.

In life, you’re seldom hurt by strangers, it’s usually the people close to you, that push you to the edge. These people are hurting inside and are simply soliciting company for their pity party. Forgive them, but don’t forget the lesson.

When life pushes you to a proverbial corner, don’t just stand there. Muster all your strength, and conquer all four corners. Now own that space!

When others make you feel small, which they often will, look the bullies straight in the eye and don’t back down. Make your spirit taller than your shallow self.

Always take the high road when others go low.

Lesson 4: Vain fools are everywhere. Ignore them.

Don’t suffer vain fools, the ones that sell their self-respect for cheap thrills and publicity. There are plenty of such people in the world.

The so-called “popular girls” rarely make any meaningful difference in the world. History proves it.

Stand for a lofty cause, even if it means you’re standing alone.

Lesson 5: Parents can be wrong. Sometimes.

As parents we love you unconditionally and will travel far reaches of the earth, on our knees (if needed), to be there for you. While we know a lot, we don’t know everything. We are bound to make parenting mistakes. Forgive us.

Learn from us, just like we learn from you. Take our parenting imperfections in your stride.

Lesson 6: Superman doesn’t exist!

Don’t wait for Superman to rescue you, they don’t exist. Be your own Superwoman because that’s what you’re born to be! No matter what path you follow in life, develop your own superpowers along the way. You’ll need them throughout life.

Lesson 7: Believe in yourself & write your own fairy tales.

Sure, believe in fairy tales and unicorns, but write your own story. Don’t give your life’s pen into another’s hand. What others write for you, will never do justice to your dreams and ambitions. Steer your own course in life and believe in yourself.

Bonus Tip: Be happy!

Happiness is the most important ingredient in life. Don’t get so tangled in life’s rat race, that you forget the simple joys of living. Be happy and walk away from anything or anyone that drains your happiness.

Always remember, you are the best thing we’ve done with our life!
