Summary

The website content details a personal photo challenge where the author, Dennett, shares seven photos taken over a week, inviting others to participate in a daily photo-taking practice meant to enhance awareness of one's surroundings.

Abstract

Dennett has been engaging in a weekly photo challenge for approximately 11 or 12 weeks, sharing one photo a day that captures the essence of their morning walks with their dog. This challenge has evolved into a communal activity, with several individuals joining in and contributing their own daily photos. The rules are intentionally flexible, encouraging participants to take and share photos at their convenience, using any device available. The primary goal of this challenge is not to showcase photographic expertise but to foster a greater appreciation for the environment and to share these experiences with others. Participants are encouraged to post their photos regularly and to focus on capturing the feeling of their daily outings rather than technical perfection.

7 Days / 7 Photos

My personal & shared photo challenge

And, so it continues. I’ve lost track of the number of weeks — maybe, 11 or 12. But, since the enjoyment is still present and others are jumping on board and giving me a positive boost to keep going, I’m sharing another 7 photos — one for each day of the past week.

I want to thank everyone who has participated in this daily photo challenge: Rachael Ann Sand, Sasha Meyer, Anne Bonfert, June Nguyen, and Lisa Bolin.

If you are interested in joining us, I will outline the rules — well, there really aren’t any other than a photo a day! Easy challenge, eh? I also assign a one-word description to each photo but that’s flexible so isn’t a true rule.

Post your pics singularly or weekly or bi-weekly. Take your pictures any time of day or night. I choose mornings when I walk my dog. In other words, do what works for you!

Take your photos with a camera or a cell phone. I use my cell camera since it’s always with me when I walk.

This challenge has two purposes: one is to make you more aware of your surroundings and the other is to share those surroundings with us. It is not a photography contest! In fact, I don’t necessarily choose my best photo of the day but the one most representative of the feeling of my walk.

We are waiting . . .
