60 Days on Medium and What I’ve Learned. When I started this 60-day journey, I honestly had no idea what to expect. But as I sit here today, reflecting on the past 60 days, I can say with certainty that Medium has become one of my favorite platforms for writing.
The people are amazing — it’s easy to find an audience and get comments on your work. Plus, I’m starting to make a little money from my writing (not the amount that I’m shooting for yet, but it’s a start). All in all, these 60 days have been a success in so many ways!
Why I love Writing on this platform
Like I said above, the people are amazing and it’s easy to start writing. You don’t have to jump through hoops to get your work published and it’s a platform that helps you grow if you are willing to put in the time. I love writing in general and I love reading, Medium allows me to do both while gaining followers/money.
They give you a reason to write, by offering money for the reads that you get on each article and they pay you for recommending the platform to others. What kind of Growth have I seen so far?

The stats below show my growth since I started on January 30th, 2022.
In 30 days I went from 0 to a little over 100 followers and that got me into the Medium Partners Program. This allowed me to start making money from my writing.
The screenshot below shows how many followers I have now after a little over 60 days of writing on this platform. And yes I have written a lot of articles, a little over 90 in the past 60 or so days. I would say that has a lot to do with my success. Consistency is a must on any platform that supports the content.
How much money have I made?
A little under $70 so far from articles and referrals. This was my first month in the partner’s program and it was not close to my goal for a month. But, it’s a good start and I know it’s possible to earn a good side income here. It just takes time as does any platform that pays you for your content.
I will continue to write about this subject and I know with time I will succeed.
What are my goals going forward?
My number one goal per month on this side hustle is $2,000. I feel that is attainable on here and see it from others everyday that write as I do. I will continue to search for new ways to make money and share that with my readers. I also love to write about the history of successful entrepreneurs and what we can learn from those that have walked before us.
Closing Thoughts
This will be the first time I have shared this blog with my Facebook friends/family. It’s always scary for me to share a passion that others may not care about or what others might think. Especially those that you see daily, but I know from experience that this is always a good thing to open up to others about something that you enjoy doing.
