6 Things I Want To Do Before Leaving Earth
Few regrets in life are worse than not being able to say that you tried
The idea of dying is something that we come to terms with, and there’s actually a lot you can do before you leave. I would like to share some things I want to complete before leaving Earth in this blog post. Few regrets in life are worse than not being able to say that you tried. Allow yourself to say it now. You’ll never know what will happen if you don’t try anything new while alive on Earth. It’s up to you to make sure that you do.
1. Stroll Through an Abandoned Town
Abandoned towns are almost perfect places to walk through, whether in the United States or somewhere else. They were once thriving with economic activity and people experiencing life, but now there is no one left, just a few families here and there. The houses are deteriorating, and the roads are falling apart.
When people talk about the good old days, they’re reminiscing about these moments. Few people get to experience moments like this, and I want to know what it’s like when a town is completely empty of life.
2. Feel the Wind Push Against Your Face and Watch the Clouds Roll By
The wind makes you feel alive, and it’s something that we often take for granted. Get out there for some time alone and experience what it’s like to be in the wind’s face, too; let it push against you without touching you at all.
Just sitting down and watching clouds roll by is a good idea too, but I think getting the feeling of the wind pushing against you is more important. You can sit on a bench and watch the clouds go by, but it’s not the same as just standing there and being in their face.
3. Listen to a Live Band
You probably live in a city where tons of great bands play every night. But for some weird reason, people go out to bars instead of the local club where good music is often playing. Most people prefer to just go to bars, sit down at tables, and drink beer all night with the same people they’ve been hanging out with all week.
The thing is, the best music isn’t going to keep playing at the bar forever; it’s going to stop playing eventually. If you don’t get out to find it, then you’ll miss the opportunity to hear something worthwhile.
The band will be playing there forever; they’ll never stop. If you can’t make it out to the club, why not see them at their practice place? Not all of them will have one, of course, but some of them do, and you have no excuse to.
4. Trying All Famous Dishes of Different places
Trying new things is fun. I know that some people are picky with what they eat, but there’s no reason to be when traveling. Just try something out of curiosity at least once.
The best way to get a good taste of different cuisine is to go out and eat at different restaurants. You don’t have to try every dish you see on the menu. If you just go somewhere and try one thing, then that’s all you’re going to be seeing for the rest of your life.
Instead, try everything that you can; then, when you come back next time, you’ll have a better chance at getting something good. Imagine knowing the secret to what’s good at any restaurant. You could just walk up to a counter and get whatever you want!
I want to try every famous dish globally, and I want to do it before leaving the planet. I want to try the dishes that people consider a delicacy and the ones that are considered the most difficult to make.
5. Sleep Under the Stars During the Summer
Nothing is better than sleeping under the stars during the summertime. You really don’t need any other reason than for curiosity’s sake. Find someone who has a pool or backyard that’s big enough to sleep out there and do it at night.
A lot of times, people don’t do it because they’re afraid of bugs. But when you sleep under the stars and feel the breeze blow, you won’t even remember the bugs. They’ll be non-existent because you won’t have time to think about them anymore.
6. Visit an Older Worker at Work
When you’re young, it’s easy to think that your career will be exciting every day, that you’ll get to do interesting things every day. But as you get older, it’s easy to realize that the job you have now might be boring to you, but another person wouldn’t give it a second thought.
If you’re reading this article, there’s a good chance that the job you currently have is tedious. You might have to deal with your boss all day or work in a place where the walls are painted a nasty color.
The thing is, there will always be jobs out there that you enjoy working at, but most people don’t get to experience it because they’re not as interesting. I want to know what it’s like to go into an older person’s workplace and see how they react.
Conclusion:
These are just a few of my favorite things that I want to do before I go, but there really are so many more. Every day is a new opportunity to try something you’ve never done before. I encourage all of you to get out there and do something because you’re not getting any younger.
