1. Male Bees Are Kicked Out Of The Hive During The Winter Season

Male Bees are actually useless members of the hive, cannot do any work around it. They can’t take care of larvae or collect nectar and can’t even sting. The only role they play is mating and eating.

This is why male Bees (often called drones) are kicked out of the hive during the winter season, left to starve and die.

These drones simply turn into a liability to the hive, and this is why we usually see dead drones lying around in parks related areas.

The hive is very strict when it comes to food. Sustenance is one of the reasons of kicking the male Bees out — they consume a large part of the food resource.

The hive will raise drones only in one condition if there is a sufficient amount of food present for the colony. Selfish world.

2. Baby Birds Have Problem With Singing When Grown Without Father

Songbirds teach their young ones to sing the distinctive songs of their species. For these young birds, it is practicing, listening and imitating which makes their songs sound perfect. Learning to sing for these birds is almost like speech learning in humans.

These young songbirds rely heavily on their parents, just like us humans, when it comes to mastering their songs.

Among parents, the father plays the main role in teaching the young ones to sing properly, and if these babies are raised without a father, they usually sing a retarded versions of the songs of their species.

Goldcrest is the smallest bird in the UK and the most beautiful one. Grayish green with a pale belly and yellow and black stripes on top of it, goldcrest are magnificent little birds.

Sadly the lifespan of goldcrest is as tiny as their body size, and on average, they only live for 8 months though some even earlier.

These birds grow up, reproduce and get old all this time, and it is sad to see an animal as admirable as goldcrest have such a short life span.

The animal kingdom is fascinating, where some live for 100 or years, some for months and some only for days, but this is how nature is. It doesn’t matter if we like the fact or dislike it.

5. Mommy Sloths Are Not Bothered

A sloth is that extremely slow animal who lives on trees. It is an animal that pops into our heads when we see someone working or doing something very slowly. But don’t let this fool you as sloths are very tough animals — they rarely die from a fall.

The sturdiness of sloths helps the young ones, too. If they ever fall from the back of their mom to the ground, they usually survive the fall.

This is where the sad part begins, sloth mothers don’t ever go to the ground to pick up their young ones because this makes them vulnerable to predators in the area. The fear of getting eaten by overshadows the love for their offspring. Sad.

6. Cows Feel Sad When They Are Separated From Their Best Friends

I bet you didn’t know about this one, but yeah, cows do have best friends, and when they are separated, they get stressed and feel sad.

The scientist came to this conclusion after they conducted some experiments on cows. The scientist measured the heart rate of the cows and wanted to see their behavior when they were taken away from their groups and while they were isolated.

The research showed that these animals are very social, but they also form close bonds with others of their kind. The study also showed that if a cow is isolated, it gets stressed.

The scientist who did this research suggests in order to keep cows healthy and to improve their milk yield, they should stay with their best friends. It will not only reduce stress but also lead to a long and healthy life for the animal.
