6 Qualities Your Best Inspirer Should Have

What I think are important qualities in my inspirers.

I believe everyone has an inspirer. Maybe you have more than one, like me. It could be in different fields, such as work and your hobbies. They inspire you to be productive, they inspire you how to practise your hobby, they inspire you with advice, to be a better human being as well. Maybe they know you, but most of the time your inspirer is a famous person.

Your inspirer should have these 6 qualities to inspire you to be a better person:

  1. Kind-hearted person
  2. He or she is funny
  3. Knows the stuff about her/his field
  4. Could place things in perspective
  5. He/She is good in what (s)he does
  6. He or she cares for people around him/her

Kind-hearted person

It is so nice to be surrounded by kind-hearted people. When you see that your inspirer is also kind-hearted, then I am blessed. Then I know that I picked the right inspirer. You also know, when you meet that person, that he or she will be kind in real life too.

He or she is funny

What I love about my inspirers if they are funny. Making jokes also make someone wonderful. I also love it when these jokes are in her or his fan’s mind for a long time.

Knows the stuff about her/his field

Your inspirer knows exactly what is going in his or her field and is always updated. He or she is expressing that towards others, such as students.

Could place things in perspective

I like it when my inspirer could place things in perspective. They know the reality very well. When a situation happens, he or she doesn’t get that angry very fast, but also thinks about where they are in now and what you could do now.

He/She is good in what (s)he does

Your inspirer knows what he or she is doing. He is or she is long enough in that field of what is going on in that field. Not only what is going on, but also does his or her job very well throughout that field.

He or she cares for people around him/her

I think it is important that your inspirer should be a big carer for others. He or she shows compassion to others.

I believe when someone has these 6 qualities, you know this person is for the world.

Who are my inspirers?

I also have inspirers. Mainly in the classical music industry. These are all violinists from all times. There are so many more classical musicians I like, from today and in history. Only the list will be too long otherwise. Not only in the classical music industry I have inspirers, but also in other fields. But I keep it with these musicians:

  • Maxim Vengerov
  • Kirill Troussov
  • Anne-Sophie Mutter

Maxim Vengerov: I remember when one of the greatest violinist Maxim Vengerov gave a masterclass in Amsterdam for Dutch national TV (which I attended). Maxim Vengerov told the violinist that he should think of him climbing the Chinese Wall when the student played a passage in the piece Tambourin Chinois by Fritz Kreisler. Maxim Vengerov told this in a very funny way that the whole audience laughed out loud. This is the part of the same piece about the fat cook. This is another part of the same masterclass. Here you can read a story from me about Maxim Vengerov.

Kirill Troussov: I found this violinist about two or three years ago, maybe at a later moment. It was that I was scrolling through Instagram and searching for great music. There he was… So, I went to his Instagram page. I saw he is a professional violinist (you see so many things online and you don’t know if it is real). That is always a plus in my opinion. But what I saw from his interpretations of the music is that it is so pure and honest, but with a lot of flairs and so much peace in hid playing. Along the way, I learned he is a good teacher, a very good violinist in being a soloist and a chamber musician. So, I decided to honour him with a post with only the music he plays.

Anne-Sophie Mutter: This female violinist is working in the classical music industry for a long time. She gave — like every musician — so many concerts. Also, her outstanding recordings and video recordings are amazing. She talks highly about other people in her field. I love her interpretations of the Beethoven violin sonatas. She is so happy, not only when playing the violin.
