6 Processes To Respect the Dignity of Identity
Consideration for Others’ Self-Esteem and Self Worth
Human dignity is a mercurial concept in the commitment to human value and status. The source of that value is an obligation to virtue and justice.
By creating environments where we normalize sharing pronouns and chosen names of misgendered individuals, we limit the spaces where microaggressions take a toll.
Here are six ways we can reduce anxiety and self-doubt and repair self-image issues.
1. Emphasize and give absolute prominence to the constructive dynamic principles of the nobility inherent to every human being.
2. Build the future of humankind on the fundamental tenet of belief and hope.
3. Become determined to manifest all the names and attributes of God, such as the Compassionate, the Bestower, and the Bountiful. One finds these repeatedly affirmed in sacred literature.
4. Refuse to view the worth of an individual chiefly in terms of how much they can accumulate and how many goods they can consume relative to others. To squander immense wealth on pursuing pleasure is wholly alien to rational thought.
5. Forget our interests for the sake of others.
6. Increase our willingness to forfeit for the well-being of all; one who does this is the honor of the world of humanity.

I write about addiction to substances, behaviors, and thistles of the soul.
