  1. Don’t Leave Your Distractions Unattended — Have a notepad next to you on which you give everything that comes in a time and place to distract you, making it a one time distraction and not something that continuously robs your focus. - For example: If you suddenly remember you still need to send an E-mail today, then immediately write down an exact time at which you will do it on that notepad (Ex: 7:35 p.m. — Send E-mail). - Put that time in your calendar, or set an alarm, and then get back to work. - This puts it out of your mind and clears your mind to concentrate on other things.
  2. Get So Busy You Cannot Afford To Lose Concentration — Fill your calendar to the brim; NO EMPTY SPACES! It may sound crazy, but you do everything that you absolutely have to do. - I mean, how often did you end up finishing a school project too late at night or too early in the morning? - We do what we have to do. Which is why we do not miss flights, get to work on time, and finish the projects we feel we must, even if they are rushed.
  3. Turn Your Chair Around — Every time you need a break do a 180° turn with your chair (or stand up and turn it around if it doesn’t swivel). Then observe the room for 45s — 60s and relax. Turn around again afterwards and get back to work. - This is all the the time you need to relax and re-focus. You do not need an hour lunch-break or a whole season of your favorite show to get back on track.
  4. Don’t Stop — The moment you stop and think about what you are doing you allow all the distractions to fill your mind. The workflow is something you enter when you turn off your mind and just do what needs to get done. - This is what we are trying to achieve with getting you busy but you can also forcibly do it by not stopping. The longer you go the higher the chance of your workflow will be. - Procrastinate on Procrastinating. 5 more minutes of work, then you can rest.
  5. Drink More Water & Do More Cardio — Your mind takes 20% of the energy of your body. That means nutrients, water, oxygen, etc. Be careful what you put in and make sure you keep your body fit or your mind will pay the consequences too. - Eat healthy (More fruits & vegetables), shower regularly, brush your teeth, and do all the other things that are good for your body and your mind will benefit. - Stretch frequently throughout the day.
  6. Remove Distractions — In the first point we talked about writing down your distractions, now it is time you remove the rest. The less impulses come in the more energy your mind has to free itself from distractions. - Keep a clean environment, wardrobe, desktop, appearance and lifestyle overall. The cleaner your space the less impulses your mind has to filter out, giving you more concentration in the end. - This is why we turn down music when we are looking for a road sign. Our minds cannot multi-task. Stopping one sense from needing to filter out information allows more brainpower for other senses.
