55 Trends That Will Change the World Forever Until 2030
We are living in an age of miracles. The miracles of the past are becoming real one by one. So you better catch up with them if you want to survive.
2 years ago, I came across a simple survey a teacher ran in the school for 1st grader students in the primary school in the Mid-West of the USA. She asked the students a simple question — what is your dream job?
Many students responded to be a nurse, fireman, policeman, driver, teacher, and other common jobs. Only a few students replied differently. One student talked about being an astronomer. Another one dreamed of being an astronaut. Two others said they want to be a genetic engineer. That was quite shocking to me because the world we know is changing and will never be the same again in the next 20 years.
Most of the jobs these 1st graders dreamed of will disappear in the next 20 years. A recent report says that around 85–90% of the current jobs are done by artificial intelligence, which will reduce to 40–45% in the next 20 years. That means losing a lot of jobs to AI.
Don`t fret immediately; the new technologies are also expected to generate 100–150 million new jobs globally, compensating for the lost jobs.
If you are doubtful, let me share some relieving facts with you.
The ancient scripts mention about farmers being worried about the invention of the first plow. Farmers were worried about losing their jobs, but benefited from that invention and grew their farms.
Was there a job such as a spiritual coach or fitness coach 100 years ago? Definitely not. People would laugh at you.
The 2nd industrial revolution with mass production methods did not end jobs. Instead, it enabled more production at a lower cost. It gave access to the goods and services that used to be accessible only to kings and aristocrats in the past. This change resulted in a growing economy and the rise of trade all around the world. However, it is evident that it also widened the gap between the richest and the poorest. We need to resolve that somehow.
I think my message is clear. We need to understand the change we are already in and where it will take us. Therefore, I have compiled a list of 55 trends that will change the world in the next 10 years and classified them in 6 main focus areas.
This list does not hold all the answers. I just want to give you some food for thought to think, learn, inquire, and prepare for the harsh winds of change.
Let`s start then.
POLITICS AND POWER
- Brexit and a few other changes will reshape the European Union
- The mono-polar world will change into a multi-polar one with China and Russia in the chess game of power and politics
- Trade wars will be a part of our loves to control limited global resources such as petrol, water, trade routes, and more
- The new Silk Road, a China project, will connect Far-East and Europe, unlike before, transforming all the countries around it and its branches.
- Many governments will tend to become more autocratic due to enhanced surveillance systems and even with the use of chips on humans
- Capitalism will evolve into a more social financial system with universal income, better health insurance coverage and improved funding to boost entrepreneurship
- A new global reserve money will dominate the world as a result of social capitalism
- Technological differences between the developed and technologically advanced countries will cause the rise of power elites. It is already the situation if you look at the Davos reports for the last 10 years. Half of the world`s wealth is owned and managed by less than 60 people. G10 countries possess most of the wealth around the world
- 4th wave of democracy will rise as a response to the corrupt use of democracy to gain power and control for the benefit of a small group of elite
- Colonization of Antarctica with the melting of the ice caps
- Reformation of global associations such as WHO, UN as they have become dysfunctional over the last 50 years.
- Western giant corporate companies will lose their power as result of new emerging companies in the Far-East
TECHNOLOGY IN LIFE
- Self-driving cars
- Virtual and augmented reality
- 3-D printed foods at a lower cost
- 3D printed organs will enable replacement of lost and dysfunctional body parts
- 24/7 internet access everywhere in the world with 5G technology
- Industry 5.0 with human and machine integration with systems such as Neuralink
- Rise of crypto-currencies and there will be economic wars to prevent them
- A minimalist life with shared resources such as cars, homes, etc.
- Rise of i-cloud technology
- Mind transfer technology (ex -Avatar 2045 Project)
- Memory transfer technologies
- Big data analysis will be more important than gathering data
- Mirror worlds will enable game players to design games in real-life scenes. If supported by enhanced augmented reality, that technology can replace the known methods of communication and travel
- Organic chips
- Pre-designed children with CRISP technology
- Synthetic human genome
- Vertical farming in skyscrapers with less water and soil
MOTHER EARTH, GAIA
- Rise of global average heat by 2 centigrade Celcius in 2030 as a result of global warming
- Water getting scarce with 25% of children in the world having no access to clean water resources
- Green energy will replace the fuel
- Shifting of Earth`s magnetic poles
- The increase in Schumann’s resonance will continue. It has been 7.83 Hz in history and is around 12–13 Hz recently and still increasing

SPACE DISCOVERY
- First manned-trip to Mars and the start of its colonization
- Asteroid mining will start. The amount of gold in asteroids is more than what is existing on Earth.
- Entrepreneurs will more drive space discovery
- Search for colonization will start on Saturn and Jupiter’s moons, especially on Europa and Euclaides, which are covered with a very thick layer of ice and has an ocean of water below.
- Use of new propulsion systems in space discovery making space travel faster
- The first establishments of a manned base in the Moon
- Signs of first attempts of tourism around Earth`s orbit and perhaps in the moon
- First encounters with extra-terrestrials in a universe populated with 2 billion galaxies, each housing 100 million to 400 million starts
WORK-LIFE
- The rise of artificial intelligence will cut many of the existing jobs carried out by humans. Nevertheless, new jobs will open, compensating for the gap, and even more
- Remote working independent of the country you live in
- Digital factories requiring less human intervention
- Leaner leadership and self-reliant teams will dominate the work cultures
- Diversity will prevail
The list above is an attempt to prepare us for the new age of human civilization that has already started at full pace. It is common to say in problem-solving techniques training that we cannot improve what we do not measure. Similarly, we cannot prepare for what we are not aware of.
Read, inquire, understand, and be the part of the change that has already started, if you want to yourself and your beloved ones be successful in the harsh winds of change.
Cheers,
Kenan
