The November Edition.

The November Edition of the 52 Weeks Photography Project presents five open-ended concepts for inspiration. How would I visually interpret them? Let’s see:

44. Mirror image. Get reflective.

So, let’s go…

44- Mirror image

The thing about mirrors is that they lie. What you see is not what you get. “Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear” You are familiar with that warning, are you not? So with that in mind… here is a mirror image. Truth or lie?

45- In My Life

She came into my life slowly. First as a co-worker, then as a lover, then as a spouse. She became my inspiration, my guide, my source of joy and my shoulder to cry on. To say that I love her would be an understatement. She is my everything. I cannot imagine living without her. The most beautiful human on Earth.

46- Purple Haze

Aside from the snooty claims: royalty, nobility, luxury, and power, the color purple also claims to represent creativity, wisdom, dignity, peace, pride, mystery, and magic.

I leaned on Jimmy Hendrix to guide me on this concept. I had Purple Haze all in my eyes. Enjoy the scene and excuse me while I kiss the sky.

47- This Must Be the Place

It was an old house. Built after WWII in a neighborhood developed to house returning veterans. It was at the top of our budget. We were stretched like filo pastry, but the river and mountain views we could not resist. This must be the place, we agreed. We jumped in.

Over the past thirty years, we have transformed this old house into a warm and loving home. It ain’t fancy, but it has our fingerprints everywhere you look. We created the metal dude who greets you offering you a fish, the shooting star, the ceramic numbers that say: yes this is the place, and the stained glass panels that color our loving world.

48- In The Heat of The Night

I have been fortunate to visit many of the world’s great cities: Paris, Madrid, New York, Lisbon, Santiago, and others. My priority has always been to visit their iconic museums and galleries.

A typical day in a new city consists of a leisurely morning stroll looking for a pastry and a cup of tea. Follow that with a museum visit. A break for lunch in the museum cafeteria. Continue art gawking until my feet hurt and return to our hotel for a rest.

A shower, a stroll around the ‘hood. A pause for Happy Hour. Find a spot for dinner. Walk back to the hotel and call it a day.

I have not experienced nightlife in any of these great cities. In the heat of the night… I sleep.
