50 Things That I love
Can I reach 50? Let’s see!
I am taking this “50 things that you love challenge” from Linda Ng followed by Marta Henriques , and finally reaching me through Blogs by J.
Although it’s already more than a month since this challenge was announced, I read it just yesterday.
I also read all three blogs that I linked with their names and found out it was not an easy task for them to list 50 things they loved. It looked fascinating to me so I decided to participate.
Let’s see how many I can list. I will list everything that I love including people, places, things, and whatever comes to mind.
- My family, my first love.
- Friends in my inner circle.
- Independence.
- My Job because it makes me independent.
- God.
- My phone with the internet because I can’t live without it.
- Shopping.
- Cooking.
- Fast Foods.
- Spices and sauces.
- Spring and Autumn seasons (Though I can’t enjoy much in spring because of my pollen allergy).
- Rain from my window with tea and pakora (an Indian snack made up of potatoes).
- Playing Table Tennis.
- Swimming.
- Fitness.
- Bollywood movies — mostly Romcoms, thrillers and suspense.
- Pakistani Dramas.
- Indian Web Series.
- Indian Street Foods.
- Getting dressed.
- Jewellery.
- Watches.
- Shoes and sandals: Fun fact — I match my footwear and wristwatch with my dress.
- Travelling to new places. Just to take pride that I have travelled to so many countries. Kidding. Okay — somewhat true, but not completely.
- Nature. Like tall mountains and greenery and a lake at the foot of the mountain. Oh! it has my heart.
- Making fun of my siblings to tease them.
- Buying gifts for my loved ones.
- Receiving gifts. Actually, I love receiving gifts, that’s why I give gifts. The chances of receiving increase when you give. I follow the rule — Give more if you want to receive more!
- Helping the poor and needy. Try it, the satisfaction you feel after that is extraordinary.
- Making people happy.
- Writing on Medium.
- Reading all kinds of stories related to personal experiences. If that’s your niche, drop by in the comments and you have already found a loyal reader.
- Appreciating the beauty.
- Long drives especially at night.
- Gossiping.
- I know it’s a bad habit, but I am only writing what I love. When my best friend calls me, we gossip for hours. We phone once a month or so and the call lasts never less than 3 hours.
- Gardening.
- Taking pictures mostly selfies.
- Celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and everything else.
- Celebrating small milestones.
- Giving surprises.
- Getting in touch with an old friend.
- Wasting time on social media by mindlessly scrolling through my feeds.
- Encouraging people to reach their goals.
- Decorating my home.
- Budget planning. I plan each time but fail! 😢
- Making new friends.
- Speaking up for the oppressed.
- Oh, Sleeping — How did I miss mentioning this until this point?
- The picnic involves outdoor cooking.
Those are the 50 things that I love. It was not that hard for me to name them. I can write many more.
However, it was fun writing about it. It helped me remember the good things about my life and be thankful for what I have got.
I hope you had fun reading it too.
